AOW Timeline

(Dates as in storyline)

August 2005

Korea

North Korean defectors provide American intelligence with plans for an atomic weapon and long range delivery system. Defectors claim the weapon and delivery system are 99% complete.

Coalition air strikes from B52 bombers and cruise missiles fired from naval warships eliminate the sites.

North Korea launch missile strikes at the border with South Korea and the DMZ (de-militarised zone) in preparation for an invasion by their land forces.

A battle on the border between the two Korean forces (with the South aided by US military) results in the North being beaten back across the DMZ to their own territory.

Major offensives continue along the DMZ.

February 2006

Afghanistan

Joint US/ UK anti-drugs task force sent to country to aid new Government in bid to reduce opium production and international circulation.

Operation Lions Den, spearheaded by UK and US Special Forces results in capture of high profile ALQ (Al Qaieda) personality.

Africa

DR of Congo (Democratic Republic) sees growing tensions and rioting against French Forces in Bunia.

May 2006

Korea

North Koreans have pushed further into the South in their latest advance. Two major cities of Pusan and Seoul now separated.

South Korean and US Special Forces conduct snatch missions and recconaissance work.

Towards June, the front line has stopped progressing and both sides fail to move forward.

Kazakhstan

USAF U2 recon plane shot down near to Russian/Chinese border. An SF CSAR (combat search and rescue) team are sent in covertly to rescue the downed pilot and black box recorder.

Links arise from intel gathered during CM Hotel between terror camps in Africa, sales of old soviet weapons and a name 'Azear'.

Europe

UK announces formatiom of 'J-DET', a joint military and police anti-terrorism unit.

June 2006

Europe

UK, J-DET called in to deal with hostage situation at London Hotel during International Relations Conference. New Zealand Prime Minister wounded during siege breach. Terror group linked to Africa.

Korea

Horrific battles taking place for town of Wonju. Fighting continuing into second week.

Africa

Operation Emerald Storm is conducted in the DR of Congo. International conventional forces attempt to remove masterminds of recent anti-Western attacks.

July/August 2006

Africa

British PMC, (private military company) Strategic Solutions, undergoing operations for Nigerian Government on anti-drugs and arms smuggling patrols to improve regional stability.

The Sandton Convention Centre in South Africa is the scene of a dramatic hostage situation. Terrorists calling themselves the 'Brothers of Adedewe' interrupt talks between African Heads of States. Car bombs reported in surrounding area.

The 'Brothers' explain reason for take over was for the 'treachery' their hostages had committed against the Continent.

General Azear talks the terrorists down after persuading them that they had no chance of obtaining their demands.

Azear then announces his plans for a 'unified Africa'.

CM Juliet takes place in Sierra Leone after a commercial airliner is taken hostage at Lungi International Airport. Hijack in response to Western involvement in Africa.

Escalation of violence against foreigners throughout Africa.

September 2006

Africa

General Azear forms UOSA (Union of Southern Africa) after Sandton Siege.

UOSA puts pressure on UK and US Governments to cancel Exercise Minoan Crown, a Joint Training Exercise taking place in Kenya. UOSA claim that their presence will make the instability in the region worsen.

Strategic Solutions come under attack during extraction of foreign nationals in Zimbabwe. Eye witness accounts report an unusually high number of foreign fighters (mercenaries) amongst the insurgents.

Uganda witnesses its second city fall under control of a military coup. It seems it is only a matter of time till Kampala is moved on.

Exercise Minoan Crown begins but is short-lived. 45 Brigade Royal Marines and 15th MEU USMC are relocated to Kampala, Uganda to ensure safe passage of current Government.

Operation Roundstone ends with the death of President Doug Muwetto, the former Ugandan Leader as UK and US forces withdraw from the country without preventing the coup.

Azear assists in creation of CANG (Central African Nations Group). Northern Alliance and the Western States to further fragment the African Continent.

October 2006

Africa

Equitorial Guinea suffers a violent coup after refusal to join the Central African Nations Group. Further coups are threatened across the Conitinent if other Nations fail to join if asked.

General Azear creates the Eastern Alliance and a leaked intel report links himself and Al-Qaeda.

Chad remains a sole figure on the bleak African Continent. Failure to sign up to a Multi-National Agreement and the withdrawal of Strategic Solutions due to UK Government pressure leaves the country vulnerable to attack.

Tape recordings provide proof of General Azears intent to create a super power to rival the West through the Multi-National Agreements.

Operation Condor begins with haste after rebels attacked Government buildings in N'Djamena, the capital of Chad.

UK/US Marines conduct operations to retake the city. After 24 hours of intense fighting, the Pentagon confirms that it is all but in control of N'Djamena.

General Azear is captured during follow up missions to Op Condor and transported to a naval warship in the Gulf of Guinea.

November 2006 - February 2007

Africa

Insurgency attacks against foreign forces continue in retaliation to Azears capture.


Korea

UN create a new De-Militarised Zone set within old South Korea.

Reports grow of Special Forces group from both sides operating hit and run missions on each others front lines.

Operation Corsicus brings home the difficulty of the terrain and enemy to the Allied Command.

General Tong and his unit remains operational in the DMZ.

Rest of World

Strategic Solutions continues contracts for close protection, overseas workforce security, force protection and training.

Work has had to shift temporarily from parts of Africa but new deals have taken teams into South America and parts of the old Soviet Republic for the first time in the Companys history.
