Operation Storm King, Combat Mission, AOW: Tour Of Duty ALEX 2
14/15th May 2011

Location: Faya Largeau, Borkou-Ennedi Tibesti region, Northern Chad.  

Situation:

Part of Stirling Airsoft's ongoing All Out War - Tour Of Duty series of airsoft games and combat mission for 2011.

Following Op Titan the KGB National Army has pursued the DBR fighters into the Bourko-Ennedi Tibesti region.

Six days ago the KGB had forced the fighters onto the banks of lake Fitri and surrender looked inevitable.  But after a two day stand off the KGB found themselves suddenly fighting on two fronts as a new wave of DBR fighters arrived from Faya.
A surge in Icom chatter suggests that this may have been the plan all along to draw the KGB into an area so they could surround them.  The National Army has sustained heavy casualties after being surrounded and engaged in fierce combat for 3 days.  With ammunition and supplies dangerously low the window of opportunity to launch a rescue mission is rapidly closing.

Helicopter Insertion Strike Mission

Op: Storm King includes an optional Helicopter Insertion Strike Mission in addition to the standard Airsoft Combat Mission.

Places for the Heli Mission are limited to 16 places at a price of £250 per person and includes:

Drive in military convoy from HQ to airport staging area where you will receive final mission brief
Approx 25-30 minute combat insertion flight with 6 helicopters flying in formation.  The helicopters' doors will be removed to allow for quick exit upon arrival at the Target Zone
Carry out Short Strike Mission against target
Exfil via Helo back to airport
Return to HQ in military convoy
Proceed with Ground Operations to complete Op: Storm King
Price for Standard Combat Mission (without Helicopter Mission) is £55 per person.

Mission

DBR:
Destroy remaining KGB forces
Conduct guerrilla warfare against Coalition task force

Task Force White: Launch two Phase rescue operation.

Phase 1:
Carry out Helicopter Air Assault to break the enemy command and control network by killing DBR command structure within their own lines

Phase 2:
Mount mobility operation to assist in rescue of entrenched KGB soldiers
