Although the press are jumping all over these 'claims' about your boys discrepencies abroad, do not worry, i'm in the process of creating a little insulation for you. The PM has asked me to let you know he is aware of the circumstances in Khartoum and that he is giving you his full backing, which currently is behind closed doors but he genuinely means it.

The PM is also ordering your detachment to stay on the ground and keep relaying intel on the situation out there. Keep in contact with the King's loyal supporters that are in hiding and work on re-building their ability to strike at the new regime, use your resources efficiently.

I thought your men would like to know that we have moved the remainders of the Royal Family to their final safe house location and they all send you their deepest thanks for rescuing them. We all realise the risks you took to evacuate them from the city and to get them to Chad and as such, decorations are being considered as we speak.

Stay safe out there Coleman, remember you're on your own for the foreseable future.

An urgent request for men on the ground has come through from the Si7 Station Chief in N'Djamena,  there's only so much they can do in the city and need more eyes and ears there and in the rest of Chad.

Something is brewing after that episode in Maidiguri last month and they think it's heading back to our favourite summer holiday spot, at least you can top up your suntan there.  Back to business though, we need to redirect a team into the Cameroon/Chad border area yesterday so drop in mobility troop with the engines running at the nearest landing strip and get them in the provided mission area, we've got predator drones on overwatch but need your boys on the ground.

Extra supplies and support will start being collated for moving with the rest of the Squadron into theatre straight away.

Good luck.

From:  Major Edwin Kirk, Commander ISAT Forces, FOB Carter, Massakori, Chad

To: Godfather, OC ISAT, FOB Irish, N'Djamena, Chad

Godfather, I'm requesting a green light on a snatch operation.  As you know, the accidental shooting the other week here in Massakori has gone down badly and there are certain individuals that are exploiting the situation.  Our patrols have reported a gradual increase in subversive activities as well as organised protests near to FOB Carter; while relations with local elders have drastically eroded.  We need to act now and take a step towards regaining the climate we had achieved before the incident.

My planners and I have highlighted an individual that has been encouraging the unrest and have put together a swift incursion planned for a few days time.  It will utilise a large number of our forces in the town to secure the area surrounding the target building while a strike team will detain the high profile before returning to the FOB.  It should be a short duration mission that if successful should go a long way to solving the current problems before they escalate further.

We are on standby to deploy and will wait on your word.

I do not need to remind you all that we are only two weeks away from the most important day in recent history for this country.  The work this taskforce has put in over Alexander 1 has been exceptional- dedication, professionalism and sacrifice are but a few words to sum up this difficult and demanding Tour.  Do not let the last five and a half months be in vain, our mission hear in Chad comes down to providing the men and women of this country with a safe, balanced and democratic environment for them to elect, by fair means, the person they see fit to lead them into a new chapter in their own history.

As we are all now aware, the Kanem Guera Brotherhood and the Divine Brotherhood of Roy are now no longer in alliance, they are on their own paths towards their own destinies.  We must treat them as seperate bodies; seperate bodies that no longer see eye to eye and are of  a volatile state.  We must treat them and their supporters with caution and take nothing for granted during the final days of Alex 1.  Do not become complacent, the risks on the streets are the same on your first day in country as they are on your last.  Believe  in your training, believe in the man to your side and believe that we are here to bring democracy to Chad.

I hope come the end of August that we will be remembered as liberators by many and despised by the few, we have come too far to let this fail now.

Further briefs on the election schedule will be passed on from your commanders as the day approaches.

Until then continue on task and hold fast.
