Gents,

Questions:
Most organisations go for models only like the Barret, PSG-1 and Dragunov. I would like to go for a M110 kind of DMR. So what are the specs for a DMR that still can be used at a Stirling event while doing 450 fps?

Many thanks in advance,

Steven

Hi Steven,

The following aPS Limits are:

AEG and Support weapons 370 fps maximum
Sniper rifles 500 fps maximum – min engagement distance 25m
Fixed support weapons 450 fps maximum (Stirling Airsoft Ltd only)

With .2g BB’s

You'd need to get your rifle modified so it is single shot only and when being crono'd demonstrate this to the marshall.

Does this mean i could run my PTW locked to semi at 450-500fps?

I would imagine this would stand for bolt action rifles?

Yes this is fine, but needs to be shown to the marshall's before the event starts.

Also, you'll have your minimum engagement distance of 25 metres still and of course cannot be used to shoot into buildings once you're within 25m or inside them for CQB.  Obviously you can use them inside to shoot out over 25m.

Common sense also needs to be used to not just lay down lots of rounds in a semi auto burst at 500fps, use it as a DMR.
