AOW :

Operation: FALLEN PROMISE
Location: Pyong Yang

Operation Fallen Promise has come to the mission table at a time of prolonged stagnation in the Coalition’s attempted occupation of the Korean Peninsular.

The North, having realised their situation needed reassessing had pulled back to the relative safety of the mountains but still engaging sporadically with our Special Forces teams operating on Long Range Recon Patrols (LRRP).

Up until the shooting down of the Antonov AN-2 in early February, Allied Command and intelligence were fairly happy that the stagnation would Continue.

Further to this event and the North Korean’s attempt to disguise the military supply drop as civilian aid in the media eye, we have also had a build up of contacts around the area overseen by Fort Campbell in Pyong Yang.  In a matter of weeks, Fort Campbell have suffered a 300% casualty rate and also local human Intel have claimed an increase in potential enemy movements.  Brigadier Lewis, of the 4th BCT, 10th Mountain, has also informed Camp LaGuardia that his LOE’s are reducing daily due to the threat level and being forced to send larger Forces out to cover smaller areas in his area of operations.

The new ‘in-country’ CO of TFB (Task Force Black), Colonel Costigan, continues the briefing-

“Well as you are aware, the boys from across the pond at Fort Campbell aren’t too hot on hearts and minds- it’s a new concept, the problem is they’ve reverted back to their old ways of mass force and big guns since taking losses which means they have reduced their eyes and ears on the ground with the local population.

The situation has become so bad now that regular patrols are being replaced by extending Fort Campbell’s perimeter security instead of meeting the threat outside.  The planners at LaGuardia are concerned this reduction in visible force could allow a resurgence of Northern engagements and allow a foothold to be taken after the proof that covert Re-supply drops are taking place, local Intel suggests these drops are being carried out and funded by China and Russia.

Task Force Black is officially on standby to deploy a full squadron into mission area to prevent this happening - mark my words gentlemen this will not be a fair fight, it will not be hearts and minds, it will not be Governed by rules of engagement.  The gloves are coming off and we’re going to play by our own rules on this one.

Troop commanders, briefing in figures 5, rest of you start squaring away your kit.”

MISSION

North Korean- To seize control of Pyong Yang and key
Infrastructure.  Also, to limit Coalition response and command and control Capability.

UK/US Forces : To respond to the North Korean threat that develops and Keep control of mission area.

Task Force Black – Break down the Command and Control of the N.Korean Forces disrupt the Supply Drops and Engage Foreign threats.

Game info to follow.

Hi Matt,
The weeks are closing in and 'Fallen Promise' is getting ever closer.
Do we have a breakdown of Troop disposition, af required numbers of Co's and NCO's as yet.
Also awaiting a list of who's in which room so the snorers can be locked away from those who would like to seep.
Finally, is ther an overview map of catterick, as , after Copehill, when the issued maps were papier mache within minutes of the 1st shower we've decided we'd like to laminate some.

Guys, 1 week to go, awaiting squad breakdown, ranks( if there are any), sleeping alocation, anything that tells us a little more than Global news.
I have 18 patches to finish before, i need to know ranks to complete said patches, wether we are all fighting as one unit, little things.
Any info would be appreciated.

The team lists and room allocation will be put up shortly (next day or so). Team breakdown will be done at each team brief.

Even with extra accommodation used there was still alot of people who asked for beds who we could not facilitate. there will be the barn and camping space available for those who were unlucky enough not to get a room.

lists up asap if you need to know sooner then feel free to PM me with names of people in your team + team name so we can check.
