For those interested in our training days this session was as follows:

The day started with an introduction form The Specail forces trained  instructors & A 6 year vetran of 3 Para who explained the health & safety rules & the  format of the day.

The training was green training/ dry training/battlefield skills:
The Morning consisted of:
The basis of a patrol & their operational procedures,
patrol formation, advance to contact, withdrawal from contact, fire & manover skills, working as a patrol, in fours & in Pairs, communication & teamwork skills

The Afternoon consisted of utilising the core skills learned in the morning, as patrols were tasked with a bridge crossing with the added threat of an I.E.D, I.E.D awareness, Obstacle crossing, and patrol & search skills.

The day culminated in the teams putting all the techniques learned throughout the day to use as they went on patrol with a live enemy awaiting them.
