he arrived in khartoum some time yesterday and the only intel i can find on him is the name Carlos he is not African which is what drew my attention in the first place and i followed him last night to a meet with a Royal aide by the name of Noghandu debobbo. I feel unable to openly ask security here to check these names as it would draw much suspicion my way.
It may be a harmless meeting of old friends but it may not. Also i have reason to believe that the burst transmission you intercepted came from the office of the interior ministry which deals with all the Kings day to day buisness. That is the same office of interior that logs Noghandu debobbo as a senior Royal aide.

I am now working on the suspicion that Debobbo is infact Icarus but to maintain cover i need to confirm this before we can move on him.

We came too close to losing our handle on things here at the weekend had it not been for the Kings loyal guards and many of the citizens we would now be looking at a failed state here in Khartoum. From what i can confirm at present the entire military staff of the national guard under the rule of General Fyid has openly turned against Jubba Jubba Chuffa and although his forces seem in control of the streets today it is unsure of where we will stand tommorow and in the immediate future.

I was unable to remain close to the ROYal family during the celebrations but still had free movement around the city until fighting broke out at mid morning saturday at which point i was in posistion at government row and had a front row seat for the assasination attempt on the King. The shots were fired from within government row the very same building i was in at the time and i quickly located the area where the sniper had chose his vantage point and spotted an armed man exiting the complex.
I gave chase through several buildings ajoining the government buildings and hearing shots fired on the first floor i proceeded to that location where i found an abandoned sniper rifle and a dead security guard but also a blood trail leading through a concealed tunnel into one of the Royal houses it is at this point i located the assassin wounded and cornered it seems he bumped into the guard while making his escape and killed him planting the rifle but he was wounded in the struggle and had stopped to tend his injury. I can confirm the ID of our would be killer as the man we confirmed last week as Carlos Despaka the man we know met with Icarus both men with previous ties to the IRC high command. He had recieved a gunshot wound to the foot which had slowed him down and caused massive blood loss but i was able to question him before he passed out and under pressure and promise of medical treatment he has claimed to be working under the orders of someone within the IRC itself.

I have him hidden at a safe house ive cultivated within the city its a property unknown to the king or any of his authorities and feel it best to keep him like that till we can extract him ourselves for further questioning.
As for Icarus real name Noghandu debobbo he is believed to have been lifted by the generals forces at some point on saturday night and his whereabouts are at present unknown but i will find him and he WILL answer my questions.

Contary to many news reports i believe Fyid has infact remained within the city not fled north as many media groups have reported. I have personally checked his private residence and many of his known haunts although he has dropped from the radar i feel he would not leave the city and give up his chance for a coup so easily. Chuffa's guards have been arresting soldiers all week here but many still remain at large or unaccounted for at present.


I feel now would be the best time time to broach the subject with Downing street of sending an SF detacthment out here just incase as i feel its only a matter of time until round two begins.

First things first Jock i need a truthfull response when i ask you what intel Despaka has yielded ?

His answers may infact provide the kick in the arse Whitehall needs to actually make a move because at present they are discussing wether Khartoum is reallly vital enough to future African operations to risk sending British troops into another African civil war hotspot.
I have argued till i was blue in the face that it not only is vital to assist the king and protect the region for both our interests but also for the security of the whole continent itself.

I have proposed a detachment of Task Force Black be sent to Khartoum ASAP where they will establish HQ at the British and American embassies. They would then work closely with yourself to identify any targets and trust me this is what TFB was created for in the first place but you know how Downing street is about decisions wait wait wait and hope the problem goes away. Well we both know that is not going to happen in Khartoum this problem will fester and grow untill it affects the whole of Africa.

We have a green light on Operation Nomad Force Commencing immediatly Task Force Black are preparing for depature as we speak. New chap in charge a Major Coleman he came highly reccomended for this type of Op. they will be wheels up from Brize Norton within 48 Hrs. I propose task one is extraction of Despaka lets have him away while we can then we milk the little shit dry and let him Rot until we have further use for him.

This Cleric you say his name is Iqumair Salat? hes actually named in numerous files on the IRC but we have him listed as dead 18 Months ago never mentioned since. i found it strange at the time they normally make a real noise when one of the big boys goes down but not a peep from the high council. He was stated to have died in a car bomb in N'Djamena during the troubles there nearly two years ago along with two other high ranking clerics but we never got confirmed IDs for them. If this really is Salat then hes up to no good in Khartoum i can guarantee you that much. He could be working as a recruiter or fixer but this smacks of something bigger and the IRC have previous form for this kind of deep Op so lets get close to the target get pictures of everything and everyone so when TFB arrive you can set them to work immediatly. Im going to look into Salats history and see if we can pick up any new Intel on what he was doing when he supposedly died in that car bomb.

On a lighter note im sure you will be pleased to hear Dimitri returned to duty today and i have assigned him as my driver until he is ready for field work. seems to be no lasting effect from his time in North Korea mentally or physically which quite frankly is a bloody miracle after the way he was when he was rescued.

Tim, as you're aware my man on the ground in Khartoum is due to link up with your guys when they arrive Saturday night. I'm afraid that i'm going to have to get you to change their mission tasking on the quiet though. Agent KJB 1797 has had a breakthrough in picking out some of the troublemakers there and we need some help 'inviting' them along for a little heart to heart as it were.

I need you to get word to your chap Coleman, that once in the air he is to brief his team on the slight change of mission remit and to ready themselves for any immediate action upon landing. KJB will meet your men at the landing zone and a package will be loaded on one of the transports for extraction.

I must stress that this is a very delicate operation and that is the reason for all this secrecy, make sure Coleman is aware of what's at stake. We can't be seen directly contributing to any offensive action in Africa again just yet.

Father: Farad Salat was owner of Durka telecomunications a multi billion dollar international company. Died 2003 of Cancer.

Salat had high prospects to folow his father into the buisness until his sister and mother were killed 1986 during a family wedding in Northern Pakistan on the border with Afghanistan Death caused by mortars launched into the wedding by alleged Russian troops.

At this point Salat drops of all radars until mid 90s when he is pictured fighting in Balkans and then 2 years later in Chechnya.

He then dissapears again until July 2006 when he was directly linked to the Angels of Adedewe the terror group responsible for the Sandton siege in South Africa.

It is thought but has never been proved that after the Sandton situation he became General Azears right hand man and was actually a major player in the attempted uprising of African nations to form the Unified African front.

After that we have nothing on him again until he is killed in the car bomb in N'Djamena with the other two clerics we have no intel on to what he was doing there at the time and none of our SF groups picked up on him being there. Now he shows up 2 years later alive and kicking in Khartoum Africas latest hotspot and hes right in the middle of a plot linked to IRC.

I think its fair to say if he didnt die in that car bomb then neither did the other 2 which means somewhere we have 3 Invisibles operating freely wherever they want in the world because weve got them listed as dead.

Im working on the other 2 from the car bomb i will contact the relevant people and call in some favours. If these men were named anywhere we will find them.

We have made considerable headway in a short time with our prisoners here. I have Coleman out confirming much of the Intel now but we have 3 possible locations for Fyid over the next 7 days and that is confirmed by 3 of the 4 suspects. The fourth suspect claimed to know nothing of Fyids location but with some minor persuasion he did confirm the presence of Iqumair Salat in Khartoum as an agent of the KOA he mentioned a group known as the council of three claiming that Salat is actually one of three KOA controllers worldwide answering directly to the IRC. This would tie in with Salats supposed death in Chad along with the 2 unnamed clerics. We need to get Photo ID of the other 2 because they could be out there right now and the intelligence community is blind to there movements.
The prisoner claims Salat has now left Khartoum but Coleman has his boys working to confirm that.

With regards to any major offensive by Fyid in the immediate future i believe it to be a realistic and accurate threat.

The city is at boiling point here Chuffas men are hard pushed to maintain security for both the family and policing the streets at the same time.
In the last 24 hours there has been a noticeable increase in attacks against public buildings and our operatives on the ground are hampered to react by what i deem to be an intel leak from within the palace. As per your orders only the select few were told of our operations here and all but one of them i trust implicitly.

But my concern lies with the son BobItin. There are the things we already know regarding his business dealings and financial links to the IRC which in this part of the world is not altogether unusual for a man of his standing. But if you take into account there's a KOA Player here in Khartoum and that we now have intel suggesting some kind of major deep infiltration with worldwide sleeper cells and dead men pulling the strings then it murks the water a little I'm sure you will agree. Add this to the fact that every time Bobitin is involved in sanctioning an action we fail to reap any rewards from raids or the suspects flee minutes before Task Force Black arrive. Now we can confirm Salat we need to go back and find a link between Bobitin and Salat or even Azear i remember Bobitin making some pro Azear and Angels of Adedewe noises around the time Azear and his boys were rising up and its established that Salat was in the Angels.

As you will now be aware we have the Royal Chuffa family safely housed at our highlands facility and we have recieved nothing but the upmost cooperation from all members. It is still felt by all here at SI7 that we should push on with the plan to reinstate the family to power after removing by force the curent regime. I trust this is still numbers 10's desired direction?
As you know we extracted all UK personnel from Khartoum to Ascension island before transporting all embassy staff back to the UK but my agents and those certain members of Task Force Black with knowledge of the local dilects remained on Ascension to restock before returning covertly to conduct intel gathering for large scale military actions in the city.

I have spoke with General Adams regarding mission specifics and he has things up and running at his end and the men on the ground have been relaying solid intel on the movements of Bobitin and Fyid.

Regarding the media attention to the actions of Task Force Black during Operation Nomad Force you will all now have read the after action reports filed by my men and the members of TFB. Im sure you will agree they acted well within our mission parameters but i would strongly advise that your official statement claims that all claims are being ivestigated. My office can provide you with all necesary papers to lead the media and those relevent foregin governments to believe we are actually taking them at their word. This will allow TFB to continue operations in Khartoum while the enemy believes them to be huddled away in the dog house under investigation.

You will recall my previous report contained infromation stating that we had uncovered a KOA link in Khartoum, Iqumair Salat was positively confirmed present in Khartoum in the days prior to the Kings assasination but he dropped out of site and until today his present location unknown. This morning i recieved word from our Australian friends that their SASR are at present conducting operations in East Timor against Pro Indonesian rebels. After we discovered Salat was not deceased as previously thought we forwarded to all friendly intelligence services the pictures of the him and the other two clerics thought to have died in the Chad attack. At 0930 today my counterpart in Sydney called to inform me that SASR operating in Dili and Maliana East Timor have confirmed sightings of Salat in both locations in the past 10 days.
Shortly after we confirmed him leaving Cairo on 30th August on Air Egypt flight 147 bound for Sri Lanka only a short hop from there to one of the many islands in the Malacca straights.

I have asked to be kept in the loop in this but we will have to wait until he shows his face again.

As promised the Aussies have indeed kept us in the loop on the East Timor situation.

It appears that someone has pulled some very dirty strings out there and secured the release of suspect 3245 prisoners name is Classified EYES ONLY but i am reliably informed that he is actually the accountant for certain extremist groups in the Malacca straights.
He was arrested in military operation code-named Abacus back in July and removed to Australia but 4 days ago he was released without charge and allowed to leave the country. My sources don't know how or why this has happened but they feel very strongly that this particular gentleman should have remained in custody for a good while yet.

To make matters worse he was today spotted by SASR in East Timor capital Dili and less than 1 hour later they also confirmed a fresh sighting of our man Salat within a kilometer of each other. It seems unlikely that the two would be meeting but the very fact that we have these two high level players in the capital at once makes me nervous.

My source claims that the accountant was released and they were ordered by the powers that be to leave him well alone in the future. This guy has a lot of clout with someone and i have people working on that at present. In return i have pulled some strings of my own and should the opportunity arise SASR will attempt to snatch and lift Iqumair Salat who will then be handed over to us. I have also stated that if chance arises we would happily take possession of the accountant also all under the table of course.

SASR launch major a offensive into the Maliana jungles in just over 48 hours so we should no more by late sunday early monday. I have personally spoken to two of the officers in charge of the operations and they have assured me they will pull out all the stops to bring the targets out.

The assault force overruns the Indonesian camp and takes 2 prisoners
which are ordered to be returned to FOB for questioning. The BSM capture
the PPF compound

PPF and Indonesians ambush the extracting 2-2 troops forcing them to
split into 2 half sections and one trooper is wounded and captured by
rebel forces the remainder of the Downtown 2-2 half section make it back
to FOB while the other half leading the prisoners back take the wrong
track and lose their way back to FOB it is 30 mins before they return.
Downtown 3-3 launch a successful rescue mission to retrieve the captured
trooper and return him to base unharmed.

18:00 Hrs
One of the Indonesian prisoners is a high ranking special forces Colonel
named Balfour and after a lengthy interrogation a deal is struck for the
Colonel to provide Intel on key members of rebel factions who he claims to
have had dealings with and plans are made for our forces to enter the
Indonesian camp at 07:00 the following morning to continue negotiations.

Downtown 2-2 and 3-3 carry out combined assault on Indonesian camp
angering Colonel Balfour who believed himself now allied to ANZAC forces
and the 07:00 meeting is bought forward Downtown 3-3 return to FOB and
Uptown 1-0 move to RV with Downtown 2-2 who are escorting Colonel Balfour
and his protection team. After informing the Colonel of recent diplomatic
talks between Australia and Indonesia the colonel agrees to overlook the
recent attack on his men and allow us to annex his camp as a forward
staging area but first it must be cleared of remaining PPF forces.

21:30 Hrs
Uptown 1-0 and Downtown 2-2 surround the camp and arrest the men
identified as PPF. 2-2 is then left in place at camp with orders to begin
operations against the PPF and also BSM if they hostile intentions.

22:00 Hrs Uptown 1-0 return to FOB

00:00 Hrs
Downtown 3-3 replaces 2-2 at Indonesian camp 2-2 returns to FOB and Uptown
1-0 Downtown 2-2 begin night time stag

02:00 Hrs
Downtown 3-3 returns to FOB
No enemy activity in area of FOB and all call signs on 50 50 stag rotation.

05:00 Hrs
Two PPF fighters are killed as they approach the FOB all units stand too
but no further enemy contact comes.

06:00 Hrs
All call signs stand too and after seeing to personal admin the FOB is
broken down.

07:00Hrs
Downtown 2-2 and 3-3 proceed onto Indonesian camp while Uptown 1-0 follow
up with vehicles.

08:00 Hrs
Uptown 1-0 Downtown 2-2 and Downtown 3-3 attack the PPF/BSM compound after
it is confirmed the two factions have been aiding each other against our
forces. The compound is captured and all present PPF fighters are killed
in the assault with several high ranking BSM captured. Captain Brandon
Reed of Uptown 1-0 negotiates a deal with BSM to turn their remaining
fighters against the Indonesians rather than Australian forces and after
several bribes the BSM agree to the deal on the condition that their
compound is secured by our forces until all threats have been removed.

09:00 Hrs
Scattered PPF forces carry out 2 pronged assault against our new FOB at
the BSM compound and after several engagements we were able to capture and
positively ID the PPF commander who was then interrogated by Captains Reed
and Almighty. The questioning yielded intel on possible location for the
Accountant and remaining PPF strengths in the region. Downtown 3-3 took a
fighting patrol south west to the suspected location but found nothing. It
was later discovered that the Accountant had been badly wounded during the
night and had been smuggled from the area by members of the BSM.
Downtown 2-2 took a fighting patrol north west to clear the area of any
threat.

09:30 Hrs
PPF commander loaded for extraction pending further questioning. Remaining
PPF forces scatter without leadership but some return to link up with
Colonel Balfour’s Indonesian forces and together they attack BSM ANZAC
forces at the compound Grid ref 061 573.
Fierce fighting break out and continues for 90 mins until Uptown /Downtown
call signs manage to clear area of threat.
