24 JANUARY, 2009 TO 25 JANUARY, 2009
Location: Puktis Valley Paktia : Afghanistan

Situation:
12 months on from the success of UK forces in Operation Silent Harvest in the Puktia valley new intelligence shows the area has once again become a staging area for Taliban rebels working out of the training camps hidden in the mountains. It is suspected that several high ranking Al-Qaeda controllers are at present using one of the remote camps to train new cells ready for deployment around the world.
