Bookings Now Open (26th February)

Operation Foxhunt

15/16th August, Copehill Down Village, Salisbury Plain

Location: N'Djamena, Chad

Situation:  Since the public execution of General Azear in 2007, Chad has stayed relatively quiet in the World's media as its neighbours have become the next battlegrounds for Western Military efforts.  Pro-African leaders have been re-infiltrated by anti-Western extremist groups and subsequently removed from power as Britain and the USA have attempted to promote democracy in the Third World and also, more importantly keep control of vital military staging areas in this current uncertain climate.

Between the re-imposed President of Chad, George Henry Tuwkani, and the Kanem Guera Brotherhood's power sharing, a slowly evolving sense of normality has returned.  Security in the country is still an ongoing struggle as car bombs and other insurgent activity remains as a reminder of the previous problems.  Many still point the finger of blame at the ousted DBR (Divine Brotherhood of Roy) for this and are sure their presence in Chad is still active as violence and discord has grown in previous months in outer reaches of the Country's regions.

Although focus has shifted in the previous eighteen months to the fighting in Sudan, many have forgotten that the resurgence of anti-Western groups outside of Chad have coincided with the apparent withdrawal of the DBR and their IRC (International Revolutionary Council) handlers.  Many security experts have feared that the Kanem Guera Brotherhood's "direct balance to Tuwkani's pro-Western stance", as was once described by Keith George from SNN News, would mean that civil war would always be an ever present risk to Chad's population.  Many still want African control over African land and natural resources and further pro-Western actions by Tuwkani could relight emotions in this tinder box environment at a time when Western interests have been diverted elsewhere, and lead to an opportunity for the extremists to re-assert themselves and their ideals in Central Africa.

Mission:

DBR

To infiltrate DBR members back into the city and regain control from Tuwkani and Kanem Guera members to reclaim Chad as its rightful home of Azear's ideology.  Also, to remove items of value from the capital to fund IRC operations elsewhere.

Kanem Guera Brotherhood

Depose Tuwkani of power and secure authority in the city.  Liberate the city from all potential opposition and create an independent state free from Western interference.

Chad Police

Keep law and order on the streets of N'Djamena and protect key national infrastructure through liaison and assistance from ISAT (International Security Assistance Taskforce).

ISAT (2nd Batt The Rifles (HM Forces) and 1st Batt, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 'Black Scarves' (US Army))

To maintain a Western presence in N'Djamena and to conduct operations to preserve democracy in Chad through assisting the current administration.  Preserve security for Western interests and foreign nationals.

Task Force Black

Operating under an International Mandate in support of ISAT, conduct intelligence gathering and targeted intervention operations on specific targets in the ongoing restructuring of Chad.  Also, to interrupt drugs and smuggling routes through the city.

Just a few reminders for players booked on this event!!

Bullshit will not be tolerated.

This event is a role playing airsoft experience game. We are trying to maintain a high level of game play to create a realistic enviroment. If you want to shoot shit loads of BB's let me know and I'll return your deposit. If however you want to play the game as its intended then see you very soon and keep upto date with all the info and news threads.

Any players arguing with ANYONE will be told to leave site immediately.

NO illegal pyro!!

Aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated of any kind.

Cheat calling /Hit calling what ever you wish to call it will not be tolerated. Tell a marshal immediately, NOT three hours later, and they will deal with it.

Cheating will not be tolerated and you will leave site and be banned from all future events ran by ourselves. Your name will be passed on to other sites for their reference.

Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. You will Leave site.

The BANG rule is not enforced at stirling games so expect to be hit at close range within buildings. However at close range we do expect common sense from players.

Random Cronoing will be in operation at each regen area. Any weapons found to be over the limit will be held in the site office until end of play sunday. All players are asked to ensure that your weapons are under the MAX FPS limits for our games. Crono will be available on Friday night for players to check. See head Marshall at the site office. which will be marked on your map.

AEG's = 370 max
Sniper = 500 max
Fixed support = 450 max (staff vehicles only)

Dont waist your £85 turning up to be a tit. Play fair and treat people as you would want to be treated.

Marshalls word is final.

If you dont agree with any of this dont book up or just request your booking be canceled.

To all players that never need to be told any of the above during a game. Thanks for booking up and we hope you have a great airsofting experience with stirling Airsoft.

Thanks
Matt

Operation : FOXHUNT
Location: Ndjamena - The Chad

Since the public execution of General Azear in 2007, Chad has stayed relatively quiet in the World’s media as its neighbours have become the next battlegrounds for Western Military efforts. Pro-African leaders have been re-infiltrated by anti-Western extremist groups and subsequently removed from power as Britain and the USA have attempted to promote democracy in the Third World and also, more importantly keep control of vital military staging areas in this current uncertain climate.

[/u]Game Style and rules.

All players are on single life continuous regen unless chosen by stirling staff as targets or commanders. Chosen players will then work on a single tabb rule with a 5 minute bleed out. This enables enemy forces to try to capture or be rescued by his own team

Regen will be at each of the designated area's for each team. Each regen will be timed so that it opens for 10 mins and shuts for 5 mins.

The town is now governed by a joint power share. The reduced Coaltion forces are based just outside the shanty town protecting the refugees from insurgancy and the local tribes that want them out.

Each African family will be designated a house. Weapons and equiptment are allowed to start in these houses.

No weapons are allowed to be carried on the streets.

Rules of engagement.

Any african caught or suspected of carrying a weapon can be shot or searched . If a suspect is shot whilst not carrying weapon then the shooter must return to regen.

A Curfew will be in operation during the night between 00:00hrs - 06;00hrs. This will be policed by the Coalition Forces and will be accross the Ndjamena City. Any African on the streets at this time can be arrested or shot. So any African Operations during these hours must be done without detection.

The very dodgy Chad Police are also legaly operational during the Curfew.

Please note that only designated buildings are safe zones so if you do sleep in game you do so with the risk of being turfed out in the middle of the night, especially if your house is being used to launch operations against the coalition forces.

If Coalition forces are shot at from any buildings within the city these buildings will be declared hostile. However if you live in that building and want it to remain your safe house then ensure that no weapons are fired from or brandished at windows.

You are allowed to move house at any time during the weekend as long as the house you are moving to is unoccupied. But you have to purchase it from the esate agency DBR estates

Pyro rules!!

Nothing more than mk5/9mm bfg inside or outside buildings. ( only pyro purchased on site can be used.)
No military smokes inside buildings.

If a bang goes into a room. Any one in the room is dead unless behind hard cover!! Hard cover must sheild the entire body. A couple of ammo tins/bricks does not count as hard cover!!

All bangs are classed as grenades.

Outside or in open terrain. Mk5 kills within 5m/15' radius. Hard cover does apply!!

Smoke is smoke. Does not represent anything else!!

Any other pyro which has larger effects on game play will be used by a marshal and players will be told on the spot if they are within the blast area. Hard cover then may not apply!! And players will be asked to return to regen!

1.mortor attacks.

Live Mortors are fired from a mortor that each team will have been supplied with. This will be carried by the mortor team inside a large stinger box. The live ammo which this fires will also be carried inside.

When firing the mortor you must keep the tube within 25ft of the box and ammo. A member of staff will always be prestent when firing and strict safety measures in place which are marked on the stinger box.

The mortor works in open area's the same as a grenade kill. However on a builing the mortor can remove a floor ata time by being fired accurately on to the roof and a marshal can then call this floor out and any player is dead on that floor . if the same roof is hit again in quick successsion then the next floor down is taken out. The building will only remain out of play to both sides for 5 minutes until the marshal calls building clear to play.
( all of the above will be controlled by marshals only )

Vehicle rules.

1.Vehicles must obey the speed limits at all times. Max Speed 10mph.

2. Drivers must be aware of dangers when entering smoke or densely populated areas.

3. Drivers shouting abuse at players from the vehicles will not be tolerated.

4. At no time must the drivers or passengers be fired upon during transportation of troops. Nor must passengers open fire from the vehicles. Only Vehicles that are weapons platforms can open fire from moving vehicles. (See next rule 5.)

5. The only time a vehicle becomes a weapons platform is if it has fixed weapons or is stationary with engine turned off. (Weapons Must be fixed to vehicle). The gunner can be hit as many times as it takes him to drop off the gun. Once he raises his arm then the gun is out of acation and he must return to regen . some vehicles have two guns mounted so once the second weapon is out the vehicle will return to regen.

6.All vehicles must stop when at coalition check point!! Only one check point will be in operation at any one time!!

7.Vehicles can be used for transporting/smuggling personnel and weapons from A-B.

8.No vehicles to be driven off road or on grass area's.

9. IED's take vehicle out and it will remain out of play for 5 minutes once it has returned to regen.

African objective.

You are allowed to move outside the boundry fence but must stay within the outside circuler road.

Remember the idea for the Africans is to smuggle / sneak weapons/drugs/money and equipment into the differnt area's and then take over the entire village and kick out the coalition. This means controlling all areas.

For this to be done you need to be methodical and plan your strategy from the start. Rushing into the village all guns blazing isn’t really the answer. It is a marathon not a sprint!! (This is in reference to the event being 24 hrs NOT a 2hr game!!)

There are ways to get from A-B all over the site. Just make sure that you report back to your command and you will stay in touch with the game. If you don't then you will run round for 24hrs like a headless chicken!!

If you are approached to be searched then you cannot resist arrest. Other wise we get punch ups all over the place and my accident book will be full to the brim!! Let’s be sensible. If however they miss your concealed weapon. Then continue on your way!! If you have concealed a weapon then this cannot be used to just open up on patrols as they pass. Be sensible and dont piss people off!!!

During previous chad operations both African & Coalition forces must abide by the ROE's (rules of engagement) given by their command structure.
Stirling Airsoft will not tollerate any team or unit or family planning thier own little sub missions that vary from the plot line that your command have tasked you with. each African Family & coalition unit will be tasked with duties to perform over the course of the weekend by their command structure. failure to adhere to this will result in the unit being arrested & held in the brig, africans will be detained in the Police cells, if you continue to ignore command instructions you will be arrested again if you continually defy orders or have any grievence about the rules or being detained you will be escorted to the car park & will not be returning into the village.

The same methodology goes during the curfew, African families & coalition caught on the streets between the hours of 12am -6am will be arrested & taken to the police station & held for the duration of upto 1 hour- failure to comply with any arrest will result in the player(s) being escorted to the car park.. from here you will be shown the gate..

I cannot stress the importance of this, however this does not mean that during curfew there will be no action at all and everyone will be going to bed!! there will be lots of activity, but it will be given from your commander, it simply means that Stirling Airsoft want you & everyone attending to get the most out of the weekend, in order for you to achieve this roles must be followed, as stated previously this is NOT a skirmish weekend there is a roleplaying element for each & every family, coalition and special forces unit..

So please do not decide/ plan between yourselves how your weekend will pan out & what mission you Think you will carry out.
orders will be given & followed
if you are unhappy about the style of game & do not wish to comply with this then please contact Myself or Matt belgrove & we will look to return your deposit.

Please feel free to ask any more as this is the idea of this thread, so that everyone understands the game and how it is supposed to work!

General info for arrival.

All players can arrive from 19:00hrs onwards on Friday 14th August.

All players must be on site by 08:30hrs on Saturday 15th August.

On arrival please report to the Guard house to sign in (cheques will not be permitted on the day. All payments must be made in cash!) And receive your info pack. You will then be sent to your designated rest area/base camp.

All players must set up kit in their respective bases. No other houses are to be used for sleeping or storing equipment until told otherwise by a member of staff!

All players will be asked to report to their respective HQ's.

The only safe zone is in the central area designated on the map as safe zone.

Any problems or emergencies must be reported to a marshal. Emergency RV is at the gate house where you sign in!!

Toilets are situated around the game area as well and are marked T on the map.

As for parking. This is at the south of the village. Just outside and within walking distance. Camping is not permitted. The less you have to go to your car the better for the scenario but they are on hand next to the guard house.
