Operation eagle assist will take place at I.E.D Airsoft's site
Directions to Glyn Ceiriog

The easiest & most direct route is via the A5/A483, the Wrexham to Oswestry road.

Travelling from the north follow the A5/A483 to the Gledrid roundabout at Chirk. (NOTE: Ignore any signs indicating Ceiriog Valley prior to the roundabout. The roundabout is easy to find as the Moreton Park Garden Centre is on the right as you approach & there is a BP garage across the roundabout on the left)Multimap link. At the roundabout turn right (4th exit B5070) onto Chirk Road & follow the road for approx 1 mile.

Travelling from the south along the A5/A483 you will approach Chirk from Oswestry, head north until you reach the roundabout described above with BP garage on RHS. At this roundabout take the second exit onto the B5070 passing the garden centre on the RHS.

You will drive along the side of a valley & then across it where you will cross into Wales. Up the hill for approx 200m following the road round to the left. As the road bends there is an immediate left turn (Castle Road B4500 Multimap link) signposted for Glyn Ceiriog. Turn here & follow the road over some speed humps & to a mini roundabout & follow the sign left for Glyn Ceiriog.
Stay on the B4500 for approx 5-6 miles & it takes you directly into Glyn Ceiriog village via some small villages. If it is icy, take it easy along here as it is quite tight & twisty in places.

You will come to a mini roundabout in the centre of Glyn Ceiriog village with a small shop to your right front & a pub to your left front. Take the 2nd exit off the roundabout (Fford-tyn-y-cestyll Road) & there is a public W.C approx 40m along from the mini roundabout. Park here where you will be met. Please remember you are in a village so don't get out of the vechicles with thigh rigs & webbing on, nor open car boots & mess about with kit. The local police know who we are but we don't want to create any sort of nuisance or upset the locals. A bit of discretion goes a long way to helping things along.

Thanks to all those who attended this event, it was a hard slog on the hills but good to see those putting the effort in.

Task Force Black managed to intercept about half the packages which will have hampered the IRC's logistical planning for any groups in Chad.

Thanks also to IED for use of the site.

See you in a couple of weeks

Would like to say well done to all the rebels who turned up for this event. An excellent job with less than ideal number's (6 at any one time in case anybody didn't know) to all Task Force Black/ coalition troops, well done to you lot aswell. you came extremely close to finding everything at one point and at times completly blocked all of our smuggling routes even when at times you didn't know it. a cracking job from all, see you all at copehill.
