Be Safe - Know the Law!

CHAD POLICE: Be Safe – Know the Law!

The role of the Chad Police is to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for the African people within the towns and surrounding areas. Our primary role is to enforce the law! Our secondary role will be to mediate between the local Africans and Coalition troops should things get out of hand.

Be advised, that we will police BOTH the Coalition troops and the African populous. Should ANY laws be broken we will deal with the individuals in accordance to our local laws.

The Chad police is here to keep the population safe. If there is any trouble – we want to know about it!

The Chad Police are currently on high alert; We will be cracking down on:

Arms, Drugs & Human Trafficking

Kidnapping

No proof of Swine Flue vaccination

Resisting Arrest

Breaking Curfew [00:00hrs- 06:00hrs]

Loitering [anytime]

Breaking & Entering

Many more minor laws apply, but if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear.

However, any infraction of the law will result in you being arrested and subject to the due process of the Chad legal system. This may involve detention, interrogation and a fine.

The Chad Police have the power to stop and question ANYONE without reason. Failure to respond to the Chad Police will result in you being arrested or shot. Since June, there has been an increase in violent crimes and serious security incidents, some involving Chadian security forces (police and gendarmes), and expatriates. Visitors and locals should expect increased police patrols around the capital.

We are working extremely hard to clean up the small amount of corruption that has been discovered within some elements of the Chad Police Department. If you have any information about any of my officers acting in a corrupt way, I urge you to come forward. We are offering a 500,000 Francs / $1,000 USDs reward for any information leading to an arrested and conviction.

The Chad Police work according to the Chad Police code:

Police Officers must not receive cash from sources other than in the line of Police work.

When engaging criminals, Police officers must shout a clear warning.

Officers must not bring unreasonable harm to members of the public

It is a police officers duty to ensure that all evidence in relation to a crime is presented to ensure a conviction

If you believe that an officer of the Chad police has made an infraction of the code, you are encouraged to report him to the duty officer at the Police Station.

The Chad Police Pension & Benevolent fund.

The Chad Police Pension and Benevolent fund (a registered charity) is administered by the those of the rank of inspector & above.

Being a poorly financed government force, it comes down to us to provide for the retirement and benefit needs of serving and former members of the Chad Constabulary.

If you would like to make a donation to the Pension & Benevolent fund, please see the duty officer at the police station.

Additionally, the Pension fund may from time to time sell off seized criminal assets. Please apply for details at the police station.

Yours truly

Monsieur Idi Wadoupai-John
Chad Police Commissioner - Ministry of Justice

CHAD POLICE – Played by ETS
OOC Information [out-of-character]:

ETS (Elite Tactical Simulations) is essentially made up of live role-players or people who 'get' live role-play at the very least, who have formed up to try and bring even more atmosphere to Airsoft themed games. In most regards we are improvisational actor types who have an ability to put ourselves in a situation and react 'in-character'.

We go as far as costumes, accents (not always outrageous and ridiculous!) and whilst we often add a healthy dose of humour, we do, overall, take the roles seriously and attempt to make the game more enjoyable for the other players all round. We will always encourage players to role-play a situation out [not just shooting anything that moves] and the more you interact the more you will get back. No one at ETS will ever ridicule or blank anyone attempting to role-play.
