On behalf of stirling airsoft ltd, i would like to thank all those in attendance at our Copehill event, from our point of view all the planning & stress & organisation & co-ordination was well worth it, alot went into making this event suit the vast amount of people we had palying. so were all now knackered LOL.
I would like to go through a few thank you's
Firstly to the coalition side you were relentless all weekend, you stuck to your task, you played your role & did your job, well done to your command structure, & to your TL's & IC's
to the patrols who kept shaking me down at VCP's. & to all of you who engaged the spirit of what the whole picture was about.
To the Spec forces teams, i had to let my boys discover for themselves who you were cos when i saw you roll out of the DBR tower i though ! you buggers?? but i kept it secret only denying knowledge of you to the TL's & trying to get the police to Nick you, I asked the African families to find out who you were! you were lucky a few times co's you were shot but not captured! we had some boiler suits measured up for you guys to wear, but well played also for not getting nicked.
I would like to thank all TL's who rallied their men & attended the Call to prayer for our little "re Org's " that we had, to all african families, command is as only as good as the people carrying out the orders, so without all of you guys the victory would not have happenned.
the KGB guys were everywhere & a super special thanks to Victor who worked tirelessly & the sobriety suited you sir LOL, maybe it was the urge for more vodka that spurred you on so well - thank you very much victor you did an excellent job mate.
the DBR teams were superb i could not have asked for a better bunch to work with, no gripes or qualms even with certain comm issues we pulled it together & got on with the tasks, So thank you to each & every one of the call signs, i would like to stress that the TL's from all units within the DBR were fantastic a special mention to all of you guys, great working with you. all the Roy marines for your tireless work throughout the weekend, and to Ollie & your crew great job and thanks for the use of you vehicle.
to Russ for lending us his Landy.
Thanks again to The ETS boys for their roleplay as the police a top job as always & nice to see you all.
to SI & Recon 6 Crew as President Tuwkani & his CP team briliant job.
Steve reynolds.com the Cameraman who again managed to be everywhere.
Dave manning for humping the kit there & back.
to all the marshalls for the excellent job you did.
for all those involved in the clean up at the end.
if i have missed anyone im sorry.
some highlights for me handing lance corpral eugene some cash then dobbing him in for takin bribes, but this allowed me to role play with the police, which in turn got me an audience with the president, we then went to the FOB & was getting nowhere until the man in question returned to base & was asked if he had taken money from me, he replied that he had, Guilty as charged, this gained my Cleric character the trust and the ear of the presindent & was able to set up another meet with him & the police Inspector, the ROYS then plotted to take down the premier, the meeting went ahead and we seemed to gain the confidence of the president & a deal to pay the Mosque a large quantity of money infront of the people was arranged so that they may fall in favour of the president. once the meeting was over i left & the president & his men were slaughtered on the stairwell of the DBR tower upon their exit, all this from a 5000 chadian franc bill, now that's the power & the colour of money LOL.
hearing Martin (john Jehrico) had taken out the cheif of police in a hitman style hit as we had intel he was plotting against us & was the man responsible for arresting out Mortar, thats right the mortar, not the team but the actual mortar, which resulted in a raid on the police station & not only the return of our mortar but a large quantity of cash & swine flu innoculations - Brilliant.
watching the drugs come in on the bike, all the roleplay unfolding & taking effect, and in the last push holding my breath as the time seemed to go in slow motion as we watched the coalition mortars stray off target from their intended location of the DBR tower's roof & as each one missed, i once again breathed out and time picked up speed & the ferocity of the fire fight continued.
BTW cracking day when you hit the FOB during the curfew, me martin & johnny were out in the bad lands to the rear you lil disturbance allowed us to get even closer before that colditz searchlight of the coalitions & the NV & thermal imaging equiptment picked us up. but it was a nicely timed attack by you guys.
a brilliant weekend, i am hoarse as anything after all my ramblings and Barking all weekend.
thanks again to everyone for the spririt in which the game was played & i look forward to seeing you all again at our stirling events.
