Little John,

My first Pistol was a Glock 17. There quite a few differnt companies who make them and neither of them are that expensive.

While the Glock was fine after a while I did want something with a bit more flare ...... so I went for a SIG SAUER P226. As used by the Regiment, nice.

Its made by TM, it has a good weight and a nice strongish kick.

Get a SIG, you know you want too  Grin

The TM Sig was good until the KJ Works full metal one came out and was cheaper than the TM... the TM was always to platicky but firing it you could tune this out.  Hording and firing the KJ version, solid kick, works of green gas all year round and cheaper... jobs a good one.

For Glock the KWA Glock 19 with the metal top slide take a lot of beating, the TM Glock 17 is very good but it vastly more expensive than the gun with the metal slide.

KJ Works P226 feels great in the hand - exactly like a real pistol, but suffers with reliability problems - the slide doesn't always return properly and the mags sometimes leak.  Get one if you're after a Sig for the feel, but if you want a reliable backup I'd stick with the Marui.

KSC Glock 19 with metal topslide is flawless as a GBB - perfect weight, good shooter, accessories available, and if you want realism, this one has absolutely no markings on it to say it's a replica!  Absolutely mint.  One of the best GBB's available and a complete bargain for the money.

KSC USP Compact is also a fantastic shooter.  It was widely adopted by Team Stirling a year or two ago, and most people found it to be a highly reliable as a backup pistol or for use as a primary where required.  It was best in it's unmodified state - trying to fit a metal topslide to it created some reliability problems.
