Operation Enduring Light (themed Game) - AOW Tour of Duty: Op Alexander 1
13th March. 2010 to 14th March, 2010.

Location: Nema Nemasso, Northern Chad

Situation:

Over the winter, the violence and attacks seen in Chad since Operation Foxhunt have reduced and brought a little respite to the population and the Western Forces stationed there. This decrease has given fresh hope for the planned elections of August.

The Divine Brotherhood of Roy, have in large part, been portrayed in Western media as the main protagonists to the insurgent attacks against ISAT forces and Western funded infrastructure. The DBR now find themselves the target of a new offensive in the north of the country, in the Tibesti mountain range, seen by ISAT commanders as an ideal opportunity to annex the militants within this group before they return to the capital for the upcoming election process.

Intelligence sources have narrowed the hunt for the hierarchy and planners of the DBR to the surrounding areas of Nema Nemasso. It is also believed that great caches of weapons, equipment and monetary sources are in the surrounding towns. ISAT have also prioritised the capture of these to deny the ‘enemy' the ability to operate effectively.

The Tibesti Mountains are the traditional home of the DBR and pose a difficult threat to ISAT forces as many of the local population are from similar bloodlines and fiercely loyal to their way of life. To conduct operations in the homeland of the Brotherhood will be a demanding test for the new Royal Fusiliers/15th Infantry Regiment Battlegroup that have recently deployed into theatre, professional pride will be at stake for them, but equally, so is the freedom of the leaders of the DBR.
