Op: Kingsman - Copehill Down Airsoft Event April 2010 (Themed Game)
03 April, 2010 to 04 April, 2010

Location: Moussoro, kanem, Chad.
The United Nations is pushing for democratic elections in Chad as soon as possible, there are however many within the country that are opposed and see it as an end to their power and position and a gradual re-colonisation of Africa, demonstrating that the legacy of Azear is still present. ISAT has pledged to assist Chad military operations to clear known strongholds and towns of opposition supporters and a major offensive is being planned for this spring in preparation for the elections in August.

History

August 2009 saw yet another blow for democracy in Central Africa. The assassination of George Henry Tuwkani, the joint head of the power sharing government, lurched Chad into a volatile power struggle with Victor and the Kanem Guera Brotherhood assuming duties as head of state.

ISAT forces refused his initial demands to leave their mission in Chad and had the weight of the United Nations behind them. Since then, relations have marginally improved with Victor's regime as has the restoration of Chad's infrastructure.

Training of the interior security and military forces is being conducted as well as assistance with their own operations to demonstrate ISAT's international cooperation rather that as ‘invaders hiding in plain sight' as a senior member of Victor's cabinet publicly claimed recently on SNN news.

Many defence analysts have predicted that ISAT forces are in for a very difficult time and to expect heavy resistance in towns and villages that not only already feel distanced from the halls of power in N'Djamena but also indignant at this imposition at the hands of Western strangers.

Important info for operation Kingsman

In order for you to get the best out of your stirling airsoft experience & to contribute to the weekend please read & digest the following:

Site Rules
We are fortunate to have the benefit of such a great Facility to use, please listen to & respect all Safety briefings, briefings & marshals word.
Failure to adhere to these will result in expulsion from the site & future stirling events.

No arrival on site prior to 18:00hrs on the Friday
Safety Breifings will be in the safezone at 09:00hrs on Saturday morning (everybody present)
Game briefing 09:30
Individual team briefings 10:00 approx ( at location given in game brief)
No cooking inside buildings, all cooking is to be done outside.
all sleeping kit & personal equiptment within Family houses in game.- Please stow your kit as all buildings in game will be in play throoughtout the weekend so when your sleeping this is done "in game" so be advised that you may get bumped at anytime.
if your asleep & your building is challenged do not be abusive or agressive towards the palyers as thye are ingame & playing the game as intended.

please contain your rubbish use a gash bag (binbag) or a bin to place your rubbish in (remember to put these in the buin or stowed away during game time.

11:00 Hrs GAME ON.

Sunday 11:00 Hrs END EX.
All Players & marshals etc to go straight to Safe Zone for De-breif & final points score & results.

Pyro rules!!

Only pyro purchased from Stirling Airsoft will be able to be used at this event.

Do not bring pyro to this event, you must purchase it upon the day.

These are for Health and Safety reasons.

Any pyro that has not been purchased from Stirling Airsoft will be removed from the game and could result in any player carrying pyro not purchased from Stirling Airsoft to be placed in the sin bin.

All we are trying to do is to stop the use of certain types of Pyro that we don't think are safe! People bring all sorts of pyro that most wouldn't even pick up.

So it is for safety reasons that we have made this rule.

Nothing more than mk5/9mm bfg inside or outside buildings.
Mil smokes are allowed outside of buildings. Not inside.
No military smokes inside buildings.

If a bang goes into a room. Any one in the room is dead unless behind hard cover!! Hard cover must sheild the entire body. A couple of ammo tins/bricks does not count as hard cover!!

All bangs are classed as grenades.

Outside or in open terrain. Mk5 kills within 5m/15' radius. Hard cover does apply!!

Smoke is smoke. Does not represent anything else!!

Any other pyro which has larger effects on game play will be used by a marshal and players will be told on the spot if they are within the blast area. Hard cover then may not apply!! And players will be asked to return to regen!

Building rules

The Firing of Weapons inside buildings is to be done preferably by pistols only however if your not carrying a pistol or a short, then for longs it is to be on a single shot basis only, ideally we would place a pistol only rule to take effect, but we are aware that not everybody carries a short, so if your entering any building please use your pistol or switch your long to single shot.If you are stood in a door way you are not to shoot either in or out on auto (semi auto only)!
This is for game effectiveness as well as health & Safety (see also Bang Rule)

Once you are inside a building you may fire out from the building using your long & on full auto, you may also fire into a building using a long on full auto, it is once you enter the building you must abide by this pistol/single shot rule.
Anyone found to be breaking this rule will be sin binned or expelled from the game accordingly. This rule is in effect THROUGHT the WHOLE weekend. Day & Night.

The Bullshit Rule

Bullshit will not be tolerated on any stirling event.

This event is a role playing airsoft experience game. We are trying to maintain a high level of game play to create a realistic enviroment. If you want to shoot Mags upon mags of BB's let me know and I'll return your deposit. If however you want to play the game as its intended then see you very soon and keep upto date with all the info in our game and news threads on the forums.

Any players arguing with ANYONE will be told to leave site immediately.
We have all played this sport before & know what is expected of each of us!

Timings for Info and game briefs.

Please dont be late for any of the briefs as they will continue without you. Game info is important for your enjoyment of the weekend.

Aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated of any kind.

Cheat calling /Hit calling what ever you wish to call it will not be tolerated. Tell a marshal immediately and they will deal with it. NOT three hours later, as the issue has passed as this makes any resolve hard to deal with.

Cheating will not be tolerated and you will leave site and be banned from all future events ran by Stirling Airsoft. Your name will also be passed on to other sites for their reference.

Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. You will Leave site.

The BANG rule is not enforced at Stirling games so expect to be hit at close range within buildings (see firing in buildings rule). However at close range we do expect common sense from players.

Random Cronoing will be in operation at each regen area. Any weapons found to be over the limit will be ticketed and held in the site office until end of play sunday. All players are asked to ensure that your weapons are under the MAX FPS limits for our games. Crono will be available on Friday night for players to check. See a Marshall at the safezone. which will be marked on your map.

DRESS/ Uniform CODEAll players are to adhere to the uniform rules, if you are not wearing the correct uniform you will be asked to change into the correct dress code if you do not you will be removed from the site.

for those in civilian dress code, NO Tan or light brown or greys, this includes caps & hoodies, if you are wearing a tan cap or grey hoodie you will be asked to remove them, this is to stop any confusaion of Target identification during the Day & Night. Please check the game thread to see the dress/uniform code for your team.

To all players that never need to be told any of the above during a game. Thanks for booking up and we hope you have a great airsofting experience with stirling Airsoft.

The money template is being sorted now and is going up asap.

This Operation is more of an out and out fight for the city and will be more fighting than roleplaying between the teams so money could be useful but not essential.

It is important for all players to be communicable with their HQ, so we ask every team to try and bring a PMR radio as a back up to our own comms systems we'll be issuing.

Also, this event will run in a similar aspect to our last Catterick event in that the focus is on real estate.  So we need each team to listen to their HQ and report back regularly on their location and situation otherwise you'll be bogged down in a building wondering what's going on and then people will start playing their own game which will ruin it for everyone else.

If anyone has any questions about anything above then please get in touch asap.

given the ferocity of the game i would prob say an AEG. although sniper rifles have their place there also, depends if your a dedicated sniper who will lie in wait for his pray & be happy with the few kills he gets?
also depends on which side your on  as specialised units may require you to carry out certain taskings

As O.C. ISAT forces in Mousorro firstly I want to thank all those on the ISAT forces who fought bitterly hard all weekend, closely followed by thanking the DBR for a tremendous show of force and desire to hold their city from our occupation.

Although we were beaten by 1200 points in game terms I think the ISAT Forces should be fairly proud of the outcome still-

1. In reality we'd want 3 ISAT soldiers to 1 DBR insurgents, if anything we fell slightly short of being 1:1 ratio.
2. We had to break into an already occupied enemy town, our kill ratio was approximately 60% of the enemies which means for a team that had to         do the running to seize the initiative we actually did pretty well.
3. We gained a maximum of a third of the city during the weekend, but on real estate scores managed to gain more than 50% of the points total of the DBR.
4. In a 24 hour period of fighting in an enemy held urban environment, the ground gained from nothing to a third of the city is not a bad result in real terms, if we had longer and at 100% manpower I'm positive the gains would have been greater.
5. At the end, we were well down on numbers from those who left early for whatever reasons.  To those who stood and fought to the end, I salute you.

So it may seem to many we got smashed, but as Godfather I am proud of the effort of the few, the bold and the brave who took the fight to the enemy, gave them no quarter and stayed to the bitter end.

Special shouts go out to the teams that travelled from far and wide, always enhances the events for me.  To the Dutch contingent of Chimera, JSF and Scorpions, your effort this weekend was outstanding, I couldn't have asked for more.  Their effort along with Kev Berry and his boys, the lads from BHK Rangers and of course SABRE and ZULU, who stuck it out on the frontline overnight allowed us to hold the ground we'd worked so hard for on Saturday.  Also, Pringle,Josh,Chip,Kim and the rest of your team, the guys from Gray Fox and the 'orphans' of 4/4 who ended up in 2/3, thanks for the hard work.  F-Troop, your country did need you and you delivered what i expected - and that wasn't just a load of abuse!  Also, Section 8, good to meet you and look forward to working together again.

Oh and smiley and co, you can be my scout/sniper anytime...

It is firmly down to ISAT now to ensure our work here is not in vain.  To approach the rest of ALEX 1 with courage and determination to bring a fair and safe elections in August.

And finally one last thing, I am no fairy godmother Iceman  :gayfight:

GODFATHER OUT......
