Op: Whalers Airsoft Combat Mission (Combat Mission)
25 September, 2010 to 26 September, 2010

Location:
Kunar Province, Afghanistan

Situation

Months after the tactical edge gained in Op Redwing- http://www.ukairsoftzone.co.uk/forums/topic/361-operation-red-wing-24th-25th-april-2010/, Operation Whalers is on the start line ready for infiltration to go toe to toe once more with the Mountain Tigers in Kunar Province.

This time, the mission is targeting the Korengal Valley of the region in a bid to finish what Redwing started.  Its goals and expectations are almost identical- remove the growing Taliban threat from the villages in the area before it spreads to the wider Province and endangers more servicemen and women.

2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment has been given the task of inserting into the area of operations and creating a cordon to stop any fighters escaping.  Combat operations then will be conducted, taking the fight to the enemy and getting payback for the losses of the previous deployment.

Teams

2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment: American Woodland

Taliban - Mountin Tigers: Traditional dress and militia/ civvi clothing

Mission

2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment:

Insert by ground and air to the area of operations and destroy the Taliban.

Taliban - Mountain Tigers:

Repel the enemy and ensure no further commanders are captured.

Hi,

I am new to stirling airsoft games but i have been to some larger airsoft games like berget.
If  i am going to choose the american site there will be helicopter insertions taking place.
Can you tell me if we are going to take our bergans with us,and that means that everything in kit list should fit in the bergan.
What is the duration of the game?
The uniforms in question are us woodland or is marpat also allowed?

Jurgen

Jurgen, I'd email matt@stirlingairsoft.com as soon as possible for further details as the allocation for the helicopter may well have been filled by now.
