Good Day to you all guys..
Well where do i start....firstly i would like to say a big thankyou to all the members of the Gurkha's F troop, G Troop & Command troop.
I would also like to say a big thankyou to all the troop commanders and 2 ic's, as you made what was a difficult job for me that little bit easier.
We started to day playing what felt like a riot police role on the Northern side of the city, which proved to be challenging, but very amusing, then basically after that it was all out war for the next 10hrs, we were all knackered, hungry and piss wet through by late afternoon, but we all got stuck in and did what needed to be done, we attacked and held all the buildings we were tasked with.
Sunday saw us move to the southern side of the city, where some excellent troop
attacks of various buildings, and some unyielding defending.
Then to finish the day, they managed to slip past our defense in a white transit van, and took over building 74, with a co-ordinated attack we managed to gain access and took out most of the hostiles before endex.
we all knew it was going to be a tough one, we all pushed ourselves to the limit, when things never seemed to go acording to plan, you all overcame those issues, and just got on with it. you should be very proud of yourselves in what you achieved, i was proud of you, and it was an honour to have been your Team leader.
one thing i have got to say before i go...SARGE.. with the heart of a lion, and a mouth like a megaphone you can hear from the other side of town, you are truly one mad bugger

when things got tough you always put a smile on my face.
However, we could have taken that building back before endex if you had ran to the door like i said.....not to the dirt mound....pussy
hope to see you all soon
