Whatever you buy don't mess around with the internals!! Use it stock for a while then, and only then, if you really want to, get it upgraded by Professionals!!

The TM VSR (or any of the abundant "copies") is as good a gun as any other.

The TM VSR is as good as any spring rifle, and the upgrade kit available from TM improves the already good hop and barrel if I remember correctly.  This one modification turns it into a very good spring rifle.  Remember anything from Japan is now restricted by law and any upgrade parts have to ensure that the gun doesn't go above 340 fps (iirc).  Saying that the hop unit on the standard rifle is very good and on the upgraded rife it acts a lot better giving a reported good increase in the range.

The UTG spring rifles should really be avoided a mistaken communication from the manufacturer upset quite a few people,  they said "there will be upgrade parts" when they actually meant "there will not be any upgrade parts".

If you are loooking at gas the KJ Works M700 is fantastic but you have to watch the fps and gas being used.  There is a restrictor when used with 134a should bring you within most site limits.  Though they have been chronoed on a hot day with green gas doing a shade over 500fps.

Hey m8, I'm a friend of Thai and as he will vouch I have spent a LOT of time working on both copy and real VSR's

My personal advice is ....

IF you want it at 500 fps and firing straight with maximum consistancy then get the following (beware it WILL cost you)....

VSR 10 pro  £145
6.01 barrel  £30
Hard Hop rubber  £10
Zero Trigger and Piston £120
Teflon Cylinder  £60
Steel Spring Guide £10
Laylax Pro Cylinder Head  £25
M150 or M170 spring (M170 is hot, get dampers to slow it)  £10
Barrel Spacers  £10

Prices are a guide only and may be incorrect but that comes to about £420 ish.

This is my setup and it is sweet, believe me.  The reason for the zero trigger is the vertical sears, much more consistant and reliable when firing.  The teflon cylinder eases cocking and the rest is realy power and accuracy.

If you don't have the cash fo the lot, start with an upgraded 6.03 barrel and hop unit for £50 from fire support then get the zero trigger and M150/M170 spring.  Then just build it from there every time you have cash.

DO NOT GET A COPY TO UPGRADE !  Spend the cash as it REALY is a case of you get what you pay for !!!

Hope this helps.

I'll check the forums when I can, just ask anything and I'll get to it.

Cheers

Good Choice m8, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Once you have it fully upgraded make sure you use 0.36's as a minimum weight or 0.43's for ultimate straigtness and consistancy.
