World News - 12th August 2006

At a press conference today in Harare, Zimbabwe, more light was shed on the remarkable events that brought an end to the Sandton Complex siege in neighbouring South Africa.

The meeting was chaired by representatives of a seemingly unheard of General Azear, the individual believed to have been responsible for the radio broadcasts first reported on the 8th.

At the meeting they read out the following press release.

"The last couple of weeks has been a blight on the Countries involved, it has shown the weakness that is present in so many of this great land's Nations.

I, General Azear decided to take it upon myself to resolve the situation at Sandton as the authorities were failing to talk to the freedom fighters as men. They realised after my words had reached them that they would not achieve their aims by that kind of force.

Since the last hostage reached safety I have been speaking to every Government involved and impressed on them my vision for an Alliance to prevent these atrocities happening again.

I hope for every man, woman and child that lives in Southern Africa that this comes to fruitition and we can live safely in our lands."

No further announcements were made but it is understood that further developements will be communicated in a similar way.

World News - 1st September 2006

The last few weeks has shown a growing increase in regional power shifts throughout the African continent since General Azear appeared to be joining the eight Southern nations in his self proclaimed Union of Southern Africa (UOSA).

So far this agreement has shown no danger to neighbouring countries but aid agencies are worried that a refugee crisis or difficulties in supplying emergency aid to the most in need could soon develop if cross border disputes arise.

SNN reporter, Nigel Moore speaking from the Democratic Republic of Congo has told us of sightings of General Azear in Kinshasa in the same Hotel as a number of Head's of States from the surrounding nations.

Also in the news today, further pressure has been put on the British and American Governments to cancel a scheduled training exercise in Kenya involving both nation's Marines and Support units. Objection to Exercise Minoan Crown has come from domestic groups and the UOSA claiming regional instability and airing concern for any alterior motives to their presence in the Country.

The last Western Corporations to comply with the Union of Southern Africa's demand for their departure from their Member States was completed today. The hardest hit companies have been those that deal in oil and precious minerals. Private security companies including Strategic Solutions have overseen this delicate withdrawal amidst rioting and specific threats of attacks.

A company spokesman for Strategic Solutions confirmed an incident outside Harare at the Msasa oil depot where a ten man team had to call for a helicopter extraction of the final few personnel from the Australian Oil Company, Perth Petroleum left on site when a firefight with armed locals erupted. After a 5-hour stand-off on the roof of a building in the compound that resulted in nearly 4000 rounds being fired and an unknown amount of local casualties, all personnel and clients were removed from theatre and landed safely on a ship in the Mozambique Channel.

Two casualties were confirmed; neither are life threatening and one was reported to have been an accident entering the aircraft.

So far no official comment has been made by Zimbabwean Authorities but hospitals in the area have requested extra supplies from Harare.

World News - 3rd September 2006

A brief newspaper interview with one of the Strategic Solutions team members from the Msasa contact on Thursday in Zimbabwe has been picked up by many news agencies.

It made claims that outside parties were coordinating the locals in the repeated attacks of the building the team were waiting for extract in. It seems an increasing trend in many African countries that 'guns for hire' are using local and militia firepower to execute their plans.

The article continued by saying that this incident is not a one off and other members of the company are reporting similar events in other regions of the continent.

World News - 14th September 2006

Following the scenes inside Kampala over the weekend, the coup Government has now announced power of the whole of Uganda. The spokesman for the rebels has demanded that the West should send aid and money to repair the damage to the Capital's infrastructure caused during the extraction of National and International assets by UK and US Marines.

Fresh water and food remains unavailable and medical supplies are running low. The statement continued by speaking of unity with their 'African brothers' and called for General Azear (who brokered the UOSA agreement last month) to visit the area to bring hope in their hour of need.

As yet, no word from Azear's camp in Zimbabwe has been received but after brokering the Central African Nations Group nearly two weeks ago in Kinshasa it would seem a possible move.

Week Review - 21st September 2006

Events from the previous week across the world...

Thursday 15th

Uganda suffered a further blow to their exiled National Government after soldiers loyal to the former president staged an uprising in Luwaro. Reports tell of the coup army using captured tanks and heavy machine guns to halt the prisoners. Amnesty International has called for the UN to investigate the events at Luwaro as 'the situation in Africa worsens' according to their spokesman.

Saturday 17th

Further concerns for Africa's Peace continued to deepen today after another large Multi-Nation Agreement was formed. The Northern Alliance brings Morocco, Western Sahara, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Egypt into a non-aggression pact. Now there are three major power groups forming across the Continent.

Sunday 18th

Disturbances on the Ugandan/ Southern Sudanese border has been blamed on refugees from last weeks coup. Looting and pillaging in aid camps and southern city's have forced the Sudan Government to redirect soldiers to the area. Stories from the country tell of trouble as far up as Juba, where the police station was set on fire and a large firefight begun in the streets.

Tuesday 20th

Terror Police in London staged a dramatic arrest of three suspects under last year's new terrorism laws. The high speed stop of the suspect vehicle was executed in broad daylight in a residential area just off the A21 in Bromley. As yet no confirmation of who the suspects are have been released but sources think they may be associates of General Azear, responsible for a couple of these latest multi-national African Unions.

Official word from New Scotland Yard has confirmed that members of J-Det were involved in an operation in South East London today. Also that those detained were arrested in connection to management of funds of African groups under current investigation by the Security Services.

World News - 29th September 2006

The British and American Foreign Offices' today made a joint statement announcing advice to their citizens not travel to the majority of Africa's Nations.

This comes as scores of Western Embassies closed in Central and Western areas of the Continent in the past couple of days.

Security experts believe that this is just a cautionary exercise as more Multi-National Agreements appear.

Africa has seen a surge of domestic disputes this year and also an alarmingly high profile use of foreign mercenary fighters in these actions.

World News - 30th September 2006

The Western States alliance grew dramatically today from the original members of Niger, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ghana and Burkina to a further nine State's.

The Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Mauritania, the Gambia and Mali all signed Joint-Non Aggression Treaties today after a Conference of Foreign and Security Ministers from West African Nations.

The Conference was held in Dakar, Senegal and was attended by many advisory figures, rumoured to include General Azear.

Still no official word from Azear has been received relating to the arrest in the UK of one of his associates last week; or to his presence at this latest expansion to a current African Alliance.

World News - 2nd October, Breaking News

SNN has just been informed of a running battle in Malabo, the Capital City of Equatorial Guinea.

Two cargo planes landed at Malabo Airport and dropped mercenaries onto the tarmac before they took control of the Buildings. Fierce firefights were reported by eyewitnesses at the scene.

Further reports confirm that a large number of this coup group then made their way to the Government District where they met up with other members of the rebel fighters that were trying to secure the Presidential Compound.

No official word has been received from Malabo yet, but local radio has been broadcasting rumours that this was a result from refusing to join the Central African Nations Group.

World News - 3rd October 2006

Many Western Leaders echoed the UN's outcry at the latest African Coup in the small state of Equatorial Guinea yesterday.

This latest coup is the second in less than a month and confirms the UK and US Foreign Offices' advice for not travelling to the Continent at the moment.

A message from the Coup Leaders stated 'This humbled Country will now be part of the Central African Nations Group, they were offered membership but refused. Others should take notice of this warning- Central Africa will unite with their brothers.

Further eye witnesses tell of looting and buildings being set on fire in Malabo as the Defence Forces attempted to prevent the coup.

This latest act seems to confirm security experts' worst fears for these Multi-National Agreements.

World News - 4th October 2006

Kevin Jacobs from Templars Risk International has been in the studio today discussing the actions of the last few days, and in particular the creation of yet another 'African super group', now unifying the Eastern States.

'It appears that the actions in Equatorial Guinea has made the unattached Countries in Africa wary of their position. The eight new countries to sign up to the Eastern Union seem to have bowed to the pressure of standing alone in the current climate and seeked security through unity.

It puts the members of Exercise Minoan Crown in a difficult position in Kenya as the majority of these Unions have anti-western policies. It would not surprise me if they are pulled out ahead of schedule.

My other concern is for the remaining few countries that are left 'unattached', once these Countries are claimed it is a question of how long peace between these large power groups can last.

The eight new Countries that make up the Eastern Union are Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Kenya, Djibouti, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Uganda confirmed today its inclusion into the current Central African Nations Group

World News - 5th October 2006

The British Houses of Parliament rushed through the Restriction to Overseas Force Act this evening. Ministers have been working on a Bill to prevent the operation of British based Private Military Companies in theatres where British Servicemen are operating in and would be a threat to them.

This could seriously affect the numerous security workers employed legitimately across the world in its current climate.

SNN has been following the work of one such company in Africa this year and it would appear that Strategic Solutions will be hit by this new law.

Work has been slowly evaporating for this company as the African Unions have expanded lately. These power groups have chosen to remove all Western workers in favour of Armed groups from The East and further afield. These mercenaries have been reported to have been recruited from places as far as China and the Former Soviet Nations to the Indonesian Islands of South East Asia.

It looks like Strategic Solutions will have to be working on a new front in the near future as Africa plunges into further uncertainty.

World News - 6th October 2006

A leaked intelligence file on the current situation in Africa has pointed the finger at General Azear for instigating violence and creating an anti-Western culture in Africa.

The file was part of the investigation into the arrest of three men in London under terrorism laws last month. It is understood their connection to the General was through dealing with finances to Africa.

The report tells of an investigation into the possibility that Azear and his men have been behind many actions across Africa and abroad this year in an attempt to de-stabilise various regions and create an African unity.

It is thought that Azear has himself has played a role in numerous actions abroad including being in theatre for Op Lions Den in Afghanistan and has been traced back to Kazakhstan with links to Al-Qaeda.

It appears that the majority of African Unions are in place but it is unsure what they have been formed for.

Exercise Minoan Crown was cancelled today amidst concern for the safety of all involved. Kenya's recent inclusion to the Eastern States has thrown the country into meltdown. Rioting and demonstrations against the UK and US Marines presence in the Republic has grown since joining this latest Union.

Also today, Cameroon was put under pressure to join the Western States. The threat of force has been officially given and a coup army is waiting on the Nigerian border. Yaounde has until midnight to agree to their demands before the attempted coup begins.

World News - 7th October 2006

Central Africa plunged further into panic today as Cameroon joined the Western States after bowing to their threat of coup invasion.

Sudan also joined the Eastern Union after receiving a similar threat. Chad now remains in no mans land and is expected to negotiate a deal to join an African Union in the very near future.

If Chad joins up to a Union then it will be the last Country to sign to a Multi-National Agreement. The Eastern Union, Western States, Northern Alliance, Central African Nations Group and Southern Union of Africa now represent the different regions of the Continent and presents a new threat to security in the world.

Meanwhile, the Houses of Parliament has enforced the withdrawal of Strategic Solutions from their presence in Chad. They have been undergoing internal security work for the Government and enforcing protection of the Government compounds in the capital, N' Djamena. This raises questions about the future deployments of British Forces if the Restriction to Overseas Force Act is used as an guidance.

World News - 7th October 2006

An unconfirmed recording has been sent to SNN in the last hour from a meeting with a colleague of General Azear.

The voices are clearly heard talking about the 'unity of the African Alliances to forge a super power to oppress the West.' It continues by suggesting that 'Azear has brought about the disruption in Africa over this year to bring together the alliance needed to put behind past disputes... carried out by his brother's from abroad.'

No official statement has been released yet by a Western Government but we expect one soon.
