Hi ive been desperate to attend some of the scenarios that are held by stirling services for some time and am hoping this the 6th.7th December game will be my first of many. After looking at the FAQ's i had a few more questions i was hoping you would maybe be able to answer for me.

When looking at the fps limits i saw for an aeg it was 370 maximum, i was just wondering if that was the norm at the site or whether or not you guys normally used 328 or 350fps as a limit.

Ive got a 425fps single shot aeg i use for sniping which will be left at home for this one but i was just wondering if the scenarios involved weapons and ammo restictions and if someone could please give me some kind of an idea of what to limit myself to. Dont want to turn up with to many mags/40mm moscarts for the scenarios if there is a cap limit.

I use mids in my aegs and but a few of the guys i'm hopefully attending with use highcaps and i was wondering if this was ok or the games were normally low/midcaps only.

The last thing i was wondering is regarding the structure of the games, is it usually a 24hour constant scenario or are the games usually finished at say ten and then recommenced in the morning?

I know this may be a pain in the hoop and this info is probably on another part of the forum and ive jsut been too dumb to see it but if someone can help with this info it would be much appreciated and hopefully the 5-9 of us hopefully attending will see you there!

From my last visit to catterick(which was a year ago Sad ) there was no limit on ammo or the use of Hi caps although i used mid caps anyway. The game was not a 24 hour game it stopped around 1am  on Saturday night, but Im sure the guys can confirm the exact details soon.

Just to clarify -

All Combat mission events are a full 24 hours.

Catterick Games usually pause at around midnight, though this depends entirely on the scenario - for example last event there was a curfew in effect from 12:00PM, there were players out and about all night - Basically the majority of the time, if you want to play all night, you can.

Combat Mission events tend to be a little more flexible when it comes to FPS limits as they are almost all green events.  Catterick however is urban, so there are fpf limits which are policed - as well as there being a single shot rule when firing inside a building at a target that is in the same building.

Usually there are no ammo limits, though the vast majority of players on combat missions op for low/mid caps.

Hope this helps

Cheers bud very helpful!

As i was saying this is our first time at a stirling airsoft event so we were just trying to gauge on the best way to prepare whether we were gonna need sleeping gear etc. and if it was a 24hour game whether we slept in the buildings being used during play and as well as. With us travelling  along we really need to make sure we arent carry things that we dont need.

What would you recommend we use 328fps or 350fps? Its just chances are we will only have space for one aeg each and we dont want to turn up withsomething too hot to play with but at the same time we dont want to be overly outranged by playing things too safe.

So are we better to wait until closer to the event to see whats going on with regards to the events timing?

The events seem fantastic and we cant wait to make this the first of many trips we make to play at stirling iarsoft organised games!

If it is a Catterick event we are talking about (I assume it is) then the following might help:

Kit:

Basic sleeping gear - camp bed if you have it.
Hot food will be available during the course of the event - though it is always best to be prepared as there have been shortages come Sunday!
There is a Barn available for sleeping (out of game) and for an extra cost, I believe there is accomodation (Bunk Beds) available (a little warmer and with less snoring!).  There is no sleeping in game (unless you really want to).

As for FPS limits - 350 would be your best bet - though I may get corrected.

Far more information will become available closer to the game dates.

Again, hope this helps

I didn't know shooting single shot inside the buildings was a rule...I guess that just shows how long its been since i last did a stirling event.

We brought ther single shot in buildings rule in this year! ideally we would have only pistols inside but until we can verify that every player carries a pistol then we keep it open by the use of single shot, once inside the building & firing out of a window etc you can use full auto to FIRE OUT fron the building!! but internal shots are single shot!

the  questions about the style of game we play @ stirling airsoft do vary, our rule of thumb is that our combat missions are 24 hour (hard routine) our AOW (All Out War) our themed events do tends to vary, & you will need to read the mission/ event brief to capture thses details but at catterick it is usually based on either! playing until 23:00Hrs  & re commencing @ 07.3 hrs on the sunday till 11:00hrs

We also run games where it is 24 hours as has been said with a Curfew entailed, this allows you to stag or go to ground if necessary?

if our events are 24 hours then you will need to listen in to the stag rota from your OC, or if you do not wish to contribute for the duration again inform your OC or 1IC so they can plan accordingly.

At catterick we are fortunate to have the Dorm Accomodation (first come first served basis on bookings) for an additional £5.00 the rooms sleep from 4 to around 8 & more in some rooms, there are bunks in there rooms & they are heated & you have the benefit of wash & toilet facilities, alternativly you can choose to sleep in the barn area (at no extra cost)
We have an Airsoft supply shop on site that sell BB's Pyro (all Pyro must be bought on site no hiomemade  or other Pyro allowed)  and An excellent selection of Airsoft goodies  & on certain occasions we have other retail suppliers on site too.

We have hot & cold food available throughout the day  along with hot & cold drinks (soft drinks) .

The Combat missions that are not a catterick (usually) at our facility In the Brecon becons or Worcestershire etc etc are hard routine & you carry with you what you will need for the weekend, the luxuries of a catterick game are no where to be seen, you will cook your own food & drinks, you will sleep under a basha or whatever cover you can find & make safe use of! no washing facilities & you will need water supplies.

hope this helps a little
