TweetFollowing the capture of one of their operators during Op: Hard Stop in June, Task Force Blue's commanders have authorised stronger measures to retrieve their comrade from the DBR hostage takers. They will also instigate further operations to destabilize the insurgents' hold over the region.
Captured. Isolated. Interrogated. Paraded to the world.
The International Training Team Chad’s commanders have authorised a gloves off approach to retrieve the kidnapped operator taken by the Divine Brotherhood of Roy in the closing stages of Op: Hard Stop in June. Concern for his welfare, as well as future operational integrity, has been growing after videos were posted on radical websites loyal to the memory of General Azear.
The DBR are buoyed by their growing dominance in the Bousso Valley and are starting to feel they can operate with impunity and without fear of reprisal from President Aluma’s forces and Task Force Blue. More and more propaganda is building across Chad, praising the “heroic brothers of the great valley” with their prisoner being their ace in the hole which the Knights of Azear are also taking advantage of by seeking safe harbour with their ‘freedom fighter’ brethren. Not only does Aluma need to stamp his authority in the south of the country but he also needs to take a scalp against the insurgent threat, a hope that might be able to be capitalised on now that Task Force chiefs are prepared to drop the hammer in Bousso.
