Location: Pavlodar Province North Eastern Kazakhstan

Dissident separatists from the breakaway state of Yermak have seized control of the Pavlodar Province 50 km from the Russian border. After weeks of brutal fighting within Pavlodar itself the Yermak separatists finally defeated the Kazakh 1st Army Corps sent to quell the uprising. And have established themselves in the seat of power. Russia has demanded the immediate surrender of the separatists after Moscows Minister for economic growth Roman Slavchenki was killed along with his protection squad as fighting broke out in the city. As with the Ossetian uprising in Georgia Russia has vowed swift retribution if the Yermaks fail to surrender arms to either Kazakh or Russian authority.

24th Spetznaz Brigade

Crush Yermak uprising and restore order to Pavlodar Province. Use overt military action to covertly recover tactical nuclear suitcase left over from cold war Novichney program. 

Yermak Sepratists

Maintain control of the city as separatist power base. Conduct guerrilla operations against invading Russian forces. Locate and secure Novichney device before Spetznaz can recover the device.
