Op: Neptune Spear - UCAP's site The SandPit September 2011 (Themed Game)

17 September, 2011 to 18 September, 2011

Location: Abbottabad, NW Pakistan.

Intelligence gained from the interrogation of an Al Qaeda courier has provided the CIA with a probable location for Osama bin Laden. Operating with the utmost secrecy, President Obama has authorized SEAL Team 6 to carry out a strike mission on the compound where bin Laden (codenamed Geronimo) is believed to be hiding.

more details...History

Osama Bin Laden, the world's most wanted and infamous terrorist has been
tracked to a compound in North West Pakistan.  The intelligence has been
in possession of the CIA for over half a year but prudence has forced
America's spymasters to establish more proof before acting on the
information in case of it proving unreliable, or worse, spooking Bin Laden
into the wind before a firm plan can be established.

The latest lead in this thirteen year manhunt suggests he has been living
for years in the Bilal Town suburb of Abbottabad, less than a kilometre
from the Pakistan Military Academy, the officer training centre for the
Pakistani Armed Forces.  Satellites have been unable to confirm which high
profile ALQ (Al Qaeda) target is living in the well defended multi storey
compound, but through interrogation of a trusted courier, Intelligence
Chiefs are now 60-80% sure that he is there.

The President of the United States of America is now ready to take those
odds and gamble on the outcome, 'Operation Geronimo' has been authorised.
Seal Team Six has been green lit over a possible cruise missile strike in
the hope of avoiding collateral damage and are to deploy onto the target
location as a matter of urgency.

The Joint Chiefs have authorised a 'kill, no capture' status to remove the
figurehead of Islamic extremism if the situation escalates.  They have
also stressed the necessity of positively identifying 'Geronimo' and his
retrieval- dead or alive.
