Op: Phoenix - Hostage Rescue Combat Mission

more details...History

Situation: Having witnessed the Arab Spring earlier in the year, a sleeper cell from the Divine Brotherhood of Roy have planned an outrage to force international focus onto the current Chad government in the hope of creating a people's uprising.

Living in the UK under student visas, and having never been previously arrested in Chad or abroad, has allowed these 'clean skins' to go under the radar. Arms and ammunition have been smuggled into the country by a DBR fixer in Holland. The fixer added an extra package onto a fishing boat carrying human cargo for an Eastern European gang out of Den Helder which was met by the cell as it quickly moored off the coast of Lincolnshire. The group then moved back up to North Yorkshire to conduct final surveillance and rehearsals on their target.

The cell's target is a hotel that one of the group has been working in, as a restaurant porter, since learning that a trade delegation from Chad were scheduled to be staying there during a UK visit. He has been using that cover to gain knowledge of the building layout and the hotel security protocols. The trade delegation includes the Chadian ambassador to the UK as well as some of President Aluma's most trusted ministers.

If the DBR fail in creating the people's uprising they crave then they still have the opportunity to remove several key members of the Aluma administration.

NOTE: This is a real-time hostage rescue mission.  We will be running training Saturday morning and afternoon before starting the scenario.  It will then play out throughout the night responding to the threat as necessary.  Planning, negotiations, immediate action teams, sniper and observation roles are all areas that you could be rotated through during the operation.
